Terms of Service

By accessing or using Guyana Rhythm & Roots ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. The Platform is operated by Sagacity Network Ltd, registered in England & Wales (Company No. 15712287). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Platform. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or guardian. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate and current information during registration and to update it as necessary.
• You may not create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes or impersonate another person.

Your content: You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Platform (music, images, text, videos). By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and promote your content on the Platform.

Rights registry: Works registered through our rights registry receive a unique registration number and timestamp. This serves as evidence of creation but does not constitute a formal copyright registration under any national law.

Prohibited content: You may not upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others, is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise violates applicable laws.

All users are expected to engage respectfully with the community. The following are prohibited:

• Harassment, bullying, or threatening behaviour
• Spam, scams, or misleading content
• Hate speech or discrimination
• Copyright infringement
• Impersonation of other users, artists, or organisations
• Any activity that disrupts the Platform or its users

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards.

Sellers: If you list products for sale, you are responsible for accurate descriptions, pricing, fulfilment, and compliance with applicable consumer protection laws. You agree to fulfil orders promptly and communicate with buyers regarding shipping and delivery.

Buyers: All purchases are subject to the seller's policies. We facilitate the transaction but are not a party to the sale. Disputes between buyers and sellers should be resolved directly, though we may assist in mediation.

Fees: The Platform may charge transaction fees or commission on marketplace sales. Current fee structures are detailed on our Pricing page.

Paid subscription plans are billed monthly. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

Free plan features remain available at all times. Existing work registrations and Guyana Card progress are preserved if you downgrade.

The Guyana Card is a digital loyalty programme. Points are earned through community engagement and cannot be exchanged for monetary value. We reserve the right to modify the points system, tiers, and rewards at any time.

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sagacity Network Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

We do not guarantee the accuracy of user-generated content, including restaurant listings, place descriptions, or product information.

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms of Service. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your content may be removed from the Platform, though rights registry records are retained for archival purposes.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or through the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
